My Approach
I have been trained in various evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioural therapy, internal family systems therapy, and family therapy. The bedrock of my therapeutic approach can be said to be ideas espoused by narrative therapy.
Narrative therapy was first developed in the 1970s by Australian Michael White and New Zealander David Epston. The following catchphrase is often quoted as summing up the philosophy of narrative therapy:
"The person is not the problem, the problem is the problem, and the problem is never personal." M. White and D. Epston

My own story of migrating between countries and learning to navigate different languages and cultural differences has only consolidated my belief that every person, every couple, and every family is a world unto themselves.

Whether you're dealing with a particular problem, or simply looking for a new way to connect with yourself and your partner, family, and community, therapy can be a transformative experience. It can also be a terrible one. There is no one size fits when it comes to the book of life and my aim would be to work with you closely to ensure that you find the approach that works for you, whether with me or without me!
Whatever your story, I want to help you write your next chapter.
